CSS50 also known as computer science is a course but is being taught by Harvard University, one of the main reasons for me choosing this course is because it’s created for complete beginners and explains fundamental terms and understandings from 0. The main reason why I chose this cost to start my coding journey with is because it is completely free, yes that’s right 100% free. Harvard are offering this course via EdX the course lasts X weeks, in each week you have a lecture which is the same lecture that is given to Harvard students Anne you have different problem sets to apply what you’ve learned from the lectures into real world coding. Although it is broken down into weeks the reality is that you can choose when you want to do each topic whether it be two weeks apart or two days apart, this allows you to go at your own pace which is something that really attracted me to this course because at the time of me beginning I had other things going on in my life moving to a new country being the main inhibitor of knowing if I will be able to apply or do every problem set at a certain time.

If you’re a complete beginner like me this course might be a good start to get into coding as it begins with the basics and different coding languages. So no matter what type of coding you would like to ultimately pursue or specialise in this course gives a good base level to go from, and it’s free.
